The question we get asked so often is Massimo actually a person…….YES, he is!
Massimo and his wife Marina came to NZ on holiday from Puglia, Italy in 2004, they were impressed by the high-quality dairy available but were surprised by the lack of fresh Mozzarella.
After a three year Cheese making apprenticeship in Italy, they returned to NZ in 2010 to settle here and introduce Kiwi’s to Mozzarella, Burrata and Ricotta, fresh produce that is part of a daily Mediterranean diet.
Launching Massimo’s Italian Cheeses at the La Cigale market in Auckland, products were very well received and they soon had market regulars including Sir John Key!
Fast forward to 2020, today you can find Massimo’s range of fresh NZ made cheeses in most major Retailers or via our Foodservice Distributors.
We are also extremely proud to also collaborate with some of NZ’s top Restaurants and Pizzerias.
