About Us
Originally from Puglia, Italy Massimo & Marina travelled to NZ on holiday in 2004 before settling permanently in 2010.
Determined to bring a taste of Italy to NZ, we launched Massimo’s Italian Cheeses in 2010 at various Farmers Markets including the La Cigale and Matakana Markets.
We blended rich Italian tradition and craftmanship with the creamy texture of high-quality NZ dairy to create fresh, authentic, flavorful cheeses.
Over time Kiwi palates became more adventurous and demand for our fresh versatile cheeses grew, today our NZ made cheeses can be found at leading Retailers, Distributors and we are proud to collaborate with most of NZ’s top Restaurants.

The Team that makes it all happen
We have a small team of 18 people at Massimo’s. Our team is very international coming from places all over the world including Italy, NZ, Russia, India, Argentina and Australia we celebrate diversity and being able to bring together several cultures, languages, experience, and perspectives.
